A quick update on: Swine flu, Walking like an Egyptian and the joys of coca cola

CAUTION
This post has:

For starters Kia gave me the swine flu. I could barely breath this morning as my nose was completely blocked. Last night I went to bed at 7.00 hoping to fight this microscopic demon in my sleep but it was rough. I'd be sweating, boiling hot one minute then I'd be freezing cold the next. Luckily for me the cure for swine flu is a nice relaxing day off. Now I know I missed kebabs but it was worth it. I relaxed with enough cups of tea to last Britain a week, I read a bit of The Book Thief for English, I even studied accounting and did the dishes so a productive day.

More importantly, last night I wanted to talk about Egypt vs Brazil which was one of the best football matches I've seen since watching Turkey play in Euro 2008. Like any rational human being I was under the impression Egypt would get thrashed in a boring 8-0 loss. 4 minutes in and it looked like I was right with Brazil scoring an early goal. 4 minutes later, to my utter surprise Egypt score a fantastic equaliser. Then for some reason I fell asleep, waking up to the score being 3-1 in favour of Brazil. Out of nowhere Egypt play some wonderfull football and score not once but twice, score now 3 - 3. I got so unbelievably into this match I was practically screaming at the TV. Egypt played sensational football, better than England, almost as good as Holland for god's sake. I was devastated when Kaka drilled in the 90'th minute penalty as a result of a handball in the box. If Egpyt could defend set pieces a little better they'd be a force to be reckoned with. I was wondering who to go for in the Confederations Cup and I got my answer in a fantastic match, Egypt bring the trophy home.

*Update*
Lastly I want to express the feeling of having my team be in a league with the name of a soft drink in it. The fixtures have just been released for The Coca Cola Football League and on the first day the mighty Newcastle have drawn West Brom. Seriosuly. The Coca Cola Football League it sounds like a league where a group of kids would play. Of course we're all hoping for a speedy recovery of Newcastle and to see them claw there way back into the respectable Premier League, a good FA cup run this season would be nice but all I want is promotion.
