Toon Be or Not Toon Be.

Toon army defeated 1 -0. As you can imagine I'm not too pleased. I've been through a terrible cocktail of emotions. Started the match with anticipation, then excitement. From 25th to the 92nd I was pure anger, swearing at every play for the millions of mistakes they made. The 93rd minute I was on the floor, begging for a chance, praying. It was not to be, the referee blew for full time. The TV displayed images of the Geordies crying. I bit my lip determined not to cry but as Geordie boy Steven Taylor, the only player who worked hard this season came on screen, tears in his eye, I couldn't stop myself. Tears dripped down my face as I sat in a heap on the wooden floor. I sat there for a good twenty minutes before getting up.

I got onto the laptop and tried to post a blog. The laptop was slow and I snapped, throwing a stress ball at the already broken screen. One twenty minute shower later I calmed down and am posting this post. The shower calmed me down and opened my mind giving me ideas for the section below:

My Summary of Newcastle United

In all honesty we did deserve to go down. We hadn't played well all season, our players were overrated, over payed useless excuses for footballers. With exception to Jonas, Steven Taylor, Steven Harper, Habib Beye, Mark Viduka, Jose Enrique and Damien Duff. I'll start from the beginning.

First game of the season, expectations were high as we had our lord Kevin Keegan in the hot seat. 1 -1 draw with Manchester United, brilliant. Three games in we were doing pretty well but things crumbled beneath our feet. The Newcastle board spent money on stupid players like Collocini (who is shocking) and Xisco, more importantly they sold James Milner who was in form and a key player for Newcastle. Kevin Keegan was understandably annoyed at the boards stupid decisions and left.

From here we spiralled down and down with useless manager after useless manager.
Stupid decisions like playing Collocini and leaving Jonas on the bench. Then injuries built up and soon enough we were deep in a relegation battle.

Second last game Viduka heads in a corner, his first goal in two years. Oh wait. Referee has given a free kick. Worst decision I've seen in a long while, there was nothing wrong there. Cost us a point and therefore sent us to our demise.

Today's game: Jonas left on the bench again, playing four strikers (making it hard for the midfield to give them the ball.)

So we did deserve to go down. I'm not seeing it as the end of Newcastle, I see it as a new start. Getting rid of the overrated, terrible players and working our way back up to the Premier League a better side. I'll be there 100% in my Newcastle shirt and scarf, watching the games on the Internet in Chinese I don't care I watched every minute of every Newcastle match in the premier league I'll do the same in the championship.

Apologies about the long, boring football post. Riley, Tonga and Henry will like it though. =)
I'm going to face a sleepless night, thinking of whats to come, shit from everybody who's heard of the game football. "Hey Jordan I heard Newcastle got relegated, they're shit, hahahaha." Well I can take it, I've suffered the worst, the whistle blowing, watching all the Newcastle Fans and a few player crying, me crying with them, there isn't words that can possibly come close to describing the feeling of getting relegated.

  1. Nice post man,
Bad luck Jordan Welsh, with Newcastle. I cried when Chelsea are always cursed in the Champions League, always in the semi finals and they get hit by controversial decisions and bad luck!

  2. but Newcastle are in a far worser situation than Chelsea. Newcastle players just need to step up their game. Hope they win in League 1 and climb back up to premier league.
